Abstract Addressing the problems found in some wells carbonate reservoirs of Tahe and Shunbei blocks, such as wide natural fractures large leakage, an efficient temporary plugging agent is developed to effectively seal up leaky without affecting flow path after acid fracturing. The prepared by crosslinking organic zirconium crosslinker with starch-grafted polyacrylamide. Among materials, polyacrylamide shows good viscoelasticity, water absorption, expansion, degradable properties; can improve sealing effect. agents produced from two-boast have performance absorption pressure, degradability. Experimental tests evaluated expansive particle agent’s performance. According results, size expand 4 times larger; its final degradation under formation conditions reaches 99%. A larger a higher concentration increase pressure. pressure be high 15.5 MPa at 5% 2 mm, which fully meets needs fracturing on site.
